The Shadow in the Mirror
In the unassuming community of Empty Spring, Amelia had forever been captivated by old, neglected places. At the point when she found a dusty, lavish mirror in a secondhand store shop on the edge of town, she felt a prompt association with it. The retailer wavered when she asked about its cost, advance notice her that it had a dull history. In any case, Amelia, attracted to its multifaceted carvings and odd charm, got it at any rate.
That evening, she balanced the mirror in her room, respecting its shocking excellence prior to nodding off. Around midnight, she got up to a delicate, cadenced tapping sound. Befuddled and tired, she sat up in bed and looked around. Her heart froze when she understood the sound was coming from the mirror.
With precarious breath, she gazed at her appearance. Yet, something was off. In the faint evening glow, she saw her appearance was… postponed. It squinted when she hadn't, moved when she was still. And afterward, the reflection grinned.
Amelia's blood ran cold. She wasn't grinning.
Deadened by dread, she looked as her appearance got out of the casing. The figure, indistinguishable from her all around, yet hazier, more evil, gradually crossed the room toward her. She needed to shout, to run, yet her body was frozen with fear. The shadow-Amelia twisted around her, murmuring in a voice that wasn't hers, "It's my turn now."
Before Amelia could respond, the mirror broke with a noisy break. The room was quiet, the reflection gone, however Amelia realized something had changed. She hurried to the mirror, just to find her appearance gazing back, yet with eyes that weren't hers.
From that evening on, Amelia was rarely something very similar. She kept away from mirrors, terrified of what she could see, and her companions started seeing abnormal changes in her way of behaving. Her once brilliant character diminished, supplanted by something chilly, working out, and far off.
Late around evening time, they say in the event that you listen intently, you can in any case hear tapping sounds coming from her home — the sound of somebody caught, attempting to get away from the glass.
However, this has yet to be addressed… which one is the genuine Amelia?
